The sense of urgency, that submissiveness that Arjuna had when he approached Krishna is what is required for anyone to truly understand the Gita.  We must approach Gita in the same spirit as Arjuna.  Not as an entertainment but with an urgent need, with...

The Gita teaches that we can perform the perfection of yogic process by doing our duty in divine consciousness. In Gita, Krishna tells what type of work is worship. “When work is done in devotion to God in service to humanity that work will liberate...

Why was Gita spoken on the battlefield? Krishna could have spoken to Arjuna in a cave in the Himalayas or in an ashram or on the bank of a holy river.  This is usually where people go to hear from sadhus.  But Krishna spoke to Arjuna in the least likely...

Knowledge is like a seed and our heart is like an agricultural field.  Unless, the heart is properly ploughed, unless it is receptive to receiving the seed, the seed will simply go and it will be lost.

Radhanath Swami Articles

Radhanath swami

The articles on this site are based on the classes given by Radhanath Swami over the years.

Radhanath Swami is a source of inspiration for several projects, both in India and outside of it. Radhanath Swami is also a great source of inspiration for several thousands of people aspiring to seek spiritual enlightenment in the line of bhakti yoga. His students come from various walks of life, age groups, castes, races, and nationalities.

In 1970, at the age of 19, Radhanath Swami started his journey of spiritual quest in Europe. While at Greece, a voice within him directed him towards India. Radhanath Swami set off for his destination by hitchhiking. After meeting several people and studying various paths of spiritual enlightenment along the way, he finally reached India. Radhanath Swami’s experiences through the journey enabled him to understand truth from all cultural perspectives. The sufferings and exploitations he endured on this path made Radhanath Swami more determined and focused; it increased his faith and humility. Radhanath Swami’s uncompromising determination to find a guru who could provide answers for his questions made him reach the holy land of Vrndavan, India, the holy place of Radha and Krsna. The deep realizations that Radhanath Swami gained in his travels now reflect in his teachings.

Radhanath Swami learned from many but accepted one guru. Radhanath Swami’s surrender and service to his spiritual master is a great source of inspiration to all his followers. Radhanath Swami’s lectures, kirtans, and yatras sustain the spiritual lives of many. Radhanath Swami’s explanation of complex topics of scriptures and the insight that he provides into apparently confusing philosophical topics is amazing.
