The moon has a very special position as it is considered the very symbol of beauty in this world. Therefore, when the Lord appears in His various manifestations, His beauty is so unparalleled, so inconceivable, so unlimited,that the only possible manifestation in this world that can be compared to it is the full moon. What is so special about the full moon is that it gives light that is very cooling, very refreshing and very nourishing. In the full moon a devotee simply experiences the benevolent grace of God. Just as the moon gives light and coolness in the pitch dark of the night, similarly the remembrance of God refreshes our hearts, our minds and our souls, even in the darkness of this material world.
