Whatever God does is perfect and complete. What is most perfect? It is pure, unmotivated, uninterrupted love—nothing is more perfect than that. When scriptures explain that the absolute truth is perfect and complete, this means, in essence, that whatever is emanating from the absolute truth is based on the principle of the purest, highest, most unmotivated, uninterrupted love. Even the wrath, the anger of God, is based on pure unalloyed love, because whatever God does is for the welfare for all living beings. Just likethe sun does not discriminate to whom its beneficiary rays would come, similarly, God’s love is so perfectly entering into everyone’s heart without discrimination.
Whether it is the most terrible dacoit or the highest saintly person, God’s love is equal to everyone. There is only one difference. The saintly person, because he is approaching with love, the Lord reciprocates with sweetness. And because the dacoit, in a chivalrous manner, is going against the laws of God, the Lord out of love reciprocates with him by smashing him. But ultimately, God wants all living entities to come back to Him. The path of bhakti is direct express highway back home back to kingdom to God. Various forms of materialism, even in the name of religion, are indirect path, sometimes deep towards other direction, but ultimately all roads go back to God.
