The Vedic scriptures describes that there is one eternal, the absolute truth and from that one eternal has expanded the unlimited eternals. The unlimited eternals are forever subordinate to the one eternal.

The jiva is tatastha sakti and as a particle of Krishna we were created to love Krishna and be loved by Krishna. Krishna never stops loving us, no matter what we do. But we have the choice whether we reciprocate with His love. By our free will we can be covered by the bahiranga or the maya sakti.

Krishna tells in the Gita, “This maya is My energy, it’s My potency and she is all powerful.” We have no power to escape her illusions. The general person is simply captured by her. He thinks, janasya moho ‘yam ahaà mameti (SB 5.5.8), “I’m this body and whatever in relationship to this body is mine – my body, my family, my friends, my property, my intelligence, my skills, my life.”

But nothing is ours. Birth, old age, disease and death are inevitable. The power of time will take everything away. By the power of maya, even when we see everything around us dying, bombs exploding, so many of our desires being frustrated and so many betrayals, and so many anxieties, we still want to be the controller, the proprietor and the enjoyer and even when we have knowledge it is very difficult to give up these conceptions. They are so deeply habituated within us.

We are living in such an illusion that we think all the calamalities described in Sastra is either not true or will not come to us..But when it struck us, we come to our senses but then again if the bad period goes way we can gain fallback to Maya`s lap…The only way we can get away from this is to completely surrender the lord and follow in the foot steps of our Acharyas
